Important Information for our Guests

ROOMING

There is no phone reception at Loon Lake. All rooms have bunk beds (frame and mattress only), electrical outlets, minimal heating, and low quality wi-fi. Washrooms are shared, regardless of semi-private rooms or dorm rooms. Participants must bring their own bedding, towels, and toiletries.

Rooming for Everyone

Keep in mind this is a community retreat -- guests will be sharing rooms in our dorm-style accommodations (see images below).

Rooming for Seniors or Guests with Disabilities

You are valued! If your room has a bunk bed we will ensure that you get the lower bunk. If you have more complex mobility impairments please email us.

Rooming for Families with Children*

Families are welcome! While we do not have private family rooms available this retreat, your family may join our gender-segregated dorm rooms in the Student Hall (see sample picture below; 8-9 beds per room); meaning the males in your family would be in men's rooms and the females in the women's room. Rest assured, we have hosted countless families with this system and it still works well!

*Children aged 5 and up are allocated regular-sized beds. Children under the age of 5 are not allocated beds and are expected to sleep in their own travel crib. If you want a full size bed for your child under the age of 5, you will have to pay for a Child (5-10) registration.

MEALS

All meals will take place at the Bentley Hall. If you have a food allergy please email us as soon as you register.

CHILDCARE

We now offer childcare during most lecture sessions for children aged 7 and under. With the exception of infants, children under the age of 5 are no longer allowed in the lecture hall during class times. If an older child is causing disturbance we will ask their parents to take them elsewhere. Tampering with tech equipment and cables is unsafe and prohibited.

YOUTH ACTIVITIES

For ages 8 and up, we offer group activities like hiking, canoeing, and archery. The youth schedule and exact programming times will be released in closer to the retreat date.
